Due to the ongoing pandemic, The UG PG 1st Year Classes Schedule has revised for admission to first-year undergraduate and postgraduate courses. UGC Academic Calendar 2023
The Union Minister for Education Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ announced the UGC guidelines on the academic calendar for first year of undergraduate and postgraduate students of Universities for the session 2023-24. The admissions to first-year programmes for 2023 will be completed by the end of Sep 2023. The last date for admissions to fill up remaining vacant seats shall be Oct. The academic session may commence from Oct 2023, for first-year students. If there is a delay in declaration of result of qualifying examinations, Universities may plan and start the academic session by Oct 2023. The teaching-learning process may continue in offline/online/blended mode.

UG PG 1st Year Classes Schedule/ Examination Dates 2023
The UGC has instructed all universities and colleges that six days a week should be studied to make up for the loss of education. UGC का संशोधित एकेडमिक कैलेंडर जारी, शुरू होगा नया सत्र, छुट्टियों में होगी कटौती
एक्सपर्ट कमिटी की सिफारिशों के बाद अधिकारियों ने यूजी पीजी फर्स्ट ईयर एडमिशन, नए सत्र की शुरुआत और परीक्षाओं की तिथियां तय की हैं। गाइडलाइंस के मुताबिक फर्स्ट ईयर के छात्रों के लिए नया सत्र (2022-23) शुरू होगा। यानी नवंबर से फर्स्ट ईयर के छात्रों की कक्षाएं शुरू हो जाएंगी। आयोग ने सभी विश्वविद्यायों से कहा है कि एडमिशन की प्रक्रिया Sep 2022 तक पूरी हो जानी चाहिए। परीक्षाएं मार्च 2023 आयोजित होंगी।
यूजीसी ने सभी विश्वविद्यालयों और कॉलेजों को निर्देश दिया है कि पढ़ाई को हुए नुकसान की भरपाई के लिए सप्ताह में छह दिन पढ़ाई होनी चाहिए। इसके अलावा इस वर्ष की सर्दियों की छुट्टियों और अगले वर्ष की गर्मियों की छुट्टियों में भी कटौती होनी चाहिए।

In continuation of the UGC Guidelines dated 29.04.2020 (including in partial modification thereof) and 06.07.2020, the following guidelines have been framed on academic calendar for the first year under graduate and post graduate students in the Universities and colleges:-
- The institutions where admissions are solely through entrance tests and have completed the necessary requirements or are likely to complete these requirements in near future, may start their academic session of 1st year at the earliest. If necessity arises, provisional admissions may also be made. The relevant documents of qualifying examination be accepted till closing date.
- Merit/ entrance based admissions to the first year programmes for the session 2022-23 be completed by the end of October 2023. The last date for admissions to fill up the remaining vacant seats shall be last date.
- Academic calendar for the first year students’ proposed in the Guidelines dated 29.04.2023 stands amended. Hence, the academic Session 2022-23 may commence from 01.11.2023 for first year students.
- Universities may follow a 6-day week pattern for the academic session 2022-23 and 2023-24 to compensate the loss for this batch of students.
