Exam Pattern for the Provincial Civil Service (PCS) written Exam is as Follows-

- The Written Exam will be Objective type or multiple choice MCQ.
- The Preliminary examination will consist of two compulsory papers.
- The papers shall be of 200 marks each and consist two hours duration.
- Both the papers shall be objective Type & multiple choice in which there shall be 150-100 questions.
Paper-II of the UP PCS Pre Examination will be a qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33%.
