सर्वप्रथम अभ्यर्थियों की लिखित परीक्षा ली जाएगी जिसमे सफल होना अनिवार्य है। लिखित परीक्षा में निम्न न्यूनतम अंक से कम अंक पाने वाले अभियर्थियों को मेधा सूचि में शामिल नहीं किया जायेगा।

Written Exam:- लिखित परीक्षा में दो पत्र होंगे। दोनों पत्रों के सभी प्रश्न वस्तुनिष्ठ एवं बहुविकल्पीय उत्तर आधारित हो –

Exam 2nd Pattern
- इस पत्र में अभ्यर्थियों के स्थानीय/ जनजातीय भाषा, यथा- हिंदी/ अंग्रेजी/ उर्दू/ संथाली/ बांग्ला/ मुंडारी (मुंडा)/ हो/ खड़िया / कुड़ुख (उरांव) /कुरमाली / खोरठा/ नागपुरी/ पंचपरगनिया/ उड़िया / संस्कृत में से किसी एक भाषा की परीक्षा ली जाएगी।
- इस प्रश्न पत्र में न्यूनतम 33% अंक लाना अनिवार्य होगा।
- इस प्रश्न पत्र में 33% अंक लाने वालों का ही प्रथम प्रश्न पत्र का मूल्याङ्कन किया जायेगा, वर्ण अयोग्य घोषित कर दिया जायेगा।
- द्वितीय पत्र पासिंग मात्र है। अतएव इस पत्र में प्राप्त अंक मेधा निर्धारण के लिए नहीं जोड़ा जायेगा।
- इस पत्र में प्रश्नों की संख्या 50 होगी तथा परीक्षा अवधि 1 घंटे की होगी।

अभ्यर्थियों के शारीरिक बनावट में मुड़ा घुटना, धनु पैर, समतल पैर, स्पीत शिरा, उँगलियों का उचित ढंग से नहीं घूमना, दृस्टि दोष, कलर ब्लाइंडनेस (Colour Blindness)/ रतौंधी (Night Blindness), Hearing, Stammering, Bericocele/ Hyderocele/ Piles और Any Communicable Physical/ Mental Disease आदि की चिकित्सीय परिक्षण की जाएगी।
