Educational Qualification
- Candidates Must have passed Madhyamik examination or its equivalent from any Govt. recognized Board or Institution.
- Must have passed Physical Measurements Test.

Must have to qualify any four of the following endurance tests :-
- 1000 meter run within 5 minutes;
- Ladder climbing within 20 seconds;
- Lifting and carrying of sandbag weighting 63.5 kg continuously for minimum 50 meters;
- Run up three stories of standard staircase within 1 minute;
- Rope climbing using only hands within 60 seconds;
- High Jump 1.22 meter or more.
Desirable Qualifications
- Minimum 1(one) year experience in fire fighting in any Govt. department or organisation or Public Sector Undertaking or autonomous bodies;- (3 Marks)
- A certificate from Industrial Training Institute in any of the following disciplines –(3 Marks)
(A) Civil Engineering;
(B) Electrical Engineering;
(C) Mechanical Engineering;
(D) Automobile Engineering; - Swimming certificate from any Government recognized club or institute;- (2 Marks)
Age Limit
Applicants Must have not less than 18 years and not more than 27 years age as on 1st Jan, 2021. Age relaxation will be applicable for reserved category candidates.

Fire Operator Application Fee
- Rs. 110/- (Rupees one hundred ten) only.
- S.C./S.T. candidates of West Bengal and Persons with disabilities (P.W.D.) having physical disability of 40% and above are not required to pay any fee.
- BC candidates of West Bengal are, however, required to pay usual fee as aforesaid. NO EXEMPTION OF FEE IS AVAILABLE TO S.C./S.T. CANDIDATES OF OTHER STATES AND B.C. CANDIDATES.
